MOUNTING & LAMINATING
Mounting is a process where your artwork is fixed to a substrate (backing) using a dry, non-corrosive sheet of glue.
This adhesive is pH neutral. It results in your art sitting flat, and then can be hung using our hanger system.
Mounting is a great way to present and protect your photographs in a clean and minimalist way that is great for exhibitions or the home.
Substrates such as Foamboard or Kapa mount are great for lightweight versatility.
Acrylic Facemount is ideal for vibrant colours and dibond can also be used for a contemporary look.
Each material has its own particular characteristics so please feel free to contact us if you would like some advice.
We offer full professional mounting and framing services, including art framing, specifically tailored to the needs of the most discerning customers. We can work with you to coordinate all aspects of your production.
This method of an end-to-end solution, based upon your budget and requirements, has worked successfully for international galleries, high profile artists and photographers, private and corporate collectors and major institutions.
Dibond Mounting
Dibond is a composite display material comprising two sheets of archival quality thin aluminium with a thermoplastic core. It is valued for its lightweight rigidity and clean white coating. At an additional cost, panels are supplied with aluminium hangers that make hanging easy.
Acrylic Facemount
The artwork is mounted front-facing onto conservation clear acrylic (99% UV protection) and then backed with Perspex (white or black) for a clean, contemporary look.
Kapa Mounting
Our most popular board - kapa, is a lightweight foam board with aluminium reinforced liners, giving your artwork a smoother and stronger backing than regular foam board.
Laminating
A protective film overlay with UV protection to help prevent prints from fading. You have the choice of either gloss or matte laminate to protect your prints.
Foam Board
Ideal for frames and smaller size mounting.
